In honor of Black History Month Central Senior Services hosts A Look at the Harlem Renaissance: A post-slavery celebration of freedom and hope. Also known as the “New Negro Movement” the Harlem Renaissance encompasses the “Great Migration” of African Americans from the rural South to the urban North and the nearly four-decade cultural, social, and artistic explosion that ensued. ǁ Lecture & Discussion ǁ Exact location and other details to follow.
