XOXO: With Love, Norman Rockwell

Explore the themes of love and courtship through 42 nostalgic Norman Rockwell prints, illustrated for The Saturday Evening Post. The Saturday Evening Post, the most successful mass circulation magazine in the United States, was published in Philadelphia from 1897 to 1969 by the Curtis Publishing Company. Between 1916 and 1963 Rockwell illustrated 322 Post covers. In 1998, Marshall and Donald Stoltz donated the complete collection of Rockwell’s covers to the Atwater Kent Museum of Philadelphia.

View selected covers under the themes of “Seasons of Love and Romance,” “The Dance,” “Hey Sailor,” “Head in the Clouds,” “Star Struck,” and more.

Visitors are invited to enter a “Cover Contest” by taking their photo with a loved-one in front of a reinterpreted life-size Post Cover! Photos can be submitted to A winner will be chosen each month and featured on the Museum’s Facebook and Instagram. The winner will also receive a Family Membership to the Museum.
