Beyond the Screen
Saturday, September 8 through
Beyond the Screen examines the complexity of the online social world and how it affects our behavior, perceived identity and communication.
The show runs September 8 through October 21 at Main Line Art Center, and features the work of artists Adam Chau, Nancy Daly, and Dawn Kramlich. Through their individual perspectives and artistic explorations, these artists question contemporary media culture and put a spotlight on its all-consuming nature. By addressing the contradictions between technology and its intended benefit to our lives, these works challenge us to question who we are and who we want to be on the other side of the screen.
Curated by Chelsea Markowitz, Curator of Exhibitions. A FREE artist talk & reception will be held September 14, 5:30 – 8:00 pm.
