The Director's Table with Signe Wilkinson

Thursday, November 1

Art Parkway District

On November 1st, Signe Wilkinson, the longtime cartoonist for the Philadelphia Inquirer and Daily News, invites anyone familiar with her work to join her for dinner and tell her why she is so very, very mistaken about so very, very many things. Those who agree are welcome too!

Wilkinson is one of the most renowned political cartoonists working today, as well as a PAFA alumnus, and was the first female to win the Pulitzer Prize for Editorial Cartooning. She has also published two compilations of her work and held the position of President of the Association of American Editorial Cartoonists. Wilkinsons’ cartoons are highly recognizable critiques of current events and politics, particularly relevant for considering as an artistic practice in this election season when you take your seat at this fall’s Director’s Table event.

The Director's Table Series: This new series allows participants to join Brooke Davis Anderson, Edna S. Tuttleman Director of the Museum and a special guest for a private evening of art, food and wine after hours. Offering a unique opportunity for intimate conversation with up to 12 guests, these events will bring renowned artists and thinkers to the table for laughter, insight and an interrogation of issues important to them and to you. Price includes wine and dinner at a fine Philadelphia restaurant. Space is limited and reservations are required.
