Die Lustige Witwe (The Merry Widow)

Sunday, November 4

Film Suburbs & Beyond

Set in glamorous Paris, a wealthy widow attempts to extract a confession of love from her old flame, the rakish Count Danilo, in order to save her home country from bankruptcy. Paying tribute to the golden age of Hollywood, this exuberant production of Franz Lehár’s “queen of operettas” features many musical numbers usually omitted from the show's frequently-staged abridged version.
