Art at Lunch: Postindustrialism

How does India in the 20th century serve as a conduit of ideas around craft, design, and technology between Britain and the USA? Princeton Ph.D. Candidate Sria Chatterjee explores the changing history of ‘postindustrialism’ in the context of the ‘long arts and crafts movement’ between the United States, India, and Great Britain, touching upon design, anthropology and the philanthropic, development-oriented US-India narratives that tie back into Rina Banerjee’s exhibition, Make Me a Summary of the World.
