Opera Philadelphia invites you to join us in honoring 20 years of Maestro Rovaris' leadership as we kick off Festival O19 with a stunning evening in the Academy of Music.
Opera News says Corrado Rovaris has “presided over a striking evolution at Opera Philadelphia.” Since making his U.S. debut with the company in Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro in 1999, Maestro Rovaris has built an international reputation for his fine musicianship and leadership.
Join us for this very special evening to honor our beloved Maestro, his outstanding contributions to Opera Philadelphia, and another spectacular season under his baton.
The event will feature an exclusive performance by soprano Brenda Rae. This highly sought-after singer joins Festival O19 with an exclusive recital, accompanied by pianist Grant Loehnig, as part of this once-in-a-lifetime event. Her performance will be followed by a seated dinner on the stage of the Academy of Music surrounded by the beautiful set of Prokofiev’s The Love for Three Oranges, where we will be joined by the other talented artists of Festival O19.
