Making Planters with Domenic Frunzi

Designed for the lightly experienced wheel thrown potter, hone your skills and take a deep dive into wheel thrown planters. This class will expand your ability at throwing planter forms, creating form fitting drip trays, understanding what is best for your plants, and learning what compliments your plants best.

This 4 week workshop will take place on Sundays, 05/30, 06/06, 06/20, 06/27, (no class on 6/13), from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM

About the artist:

Domenic Frunzi is a functional ceramic artist and educator located in East Kensington Philadelphia. He has taught high school ceramics for the past 11 years, worked for The Clay Studio in the work-exchange program, and has run his own studio out of Viking Mill for the last 5 years. Domenic creates functional pottery for local and national retail stores, cafes, and restaurants as well as custom private orders. All of Domenicʼs work is handmade and wheel-thrown.

Prerequisite: minimum 1 pottery class prior spring session / knowledge of throwing
