This course draws inspiration from man-made and natural designs like architecture, coral feefs and other natural phenomena, and uses them as an inroad to create ceramic sculpture. Students will explore a range of building and texture-making techniques to produce dynamic, systemic forms. This class will also cover alternatives methods of finishing sculptures to develop unique surfaces and colors
Supply List: Clay tools, cardboard, markers, X-acto knife, and paper clay (can be purchased at the Center)
Special Topics Varying from one day workshops to multi-week classes, Special Topics are offered once or twice throughout the year and are perfect for learning a new technique, working with a new material, or exploring a specific process. Minimum enrollment needed to run these programs, so please register promptly.
